The name doesn’t give much away, but this is one of the best food and coffee spots in Footscray/Seddon. The food and coffee are really, really, really good: from the Saigon Pan (which is a bit like bò né but not as heavy) to the shakshuka to their new pancakes (I take famously terrible photos, but please see the photo for reference - I had drizzled the coffee caramel sauce on myself). Also, their coffees are fantastic (including and up to the peanut butter delight, which really works). What really tops it off is that all the staff are just lovely. They’re so kind and considerate and patient. One of our regular spots for sure.

Amazing brunch spot with Vietnamese inspired options. Both the food and the drinks are super. We got the Saigon pan, peanut butter cream iced latter, and coconut Vietnamese iced coffee. Price is reasonable, large portion, and no weekend surcharge. Super quick and accommodating service.

Warm and welcoming team. Awesome coffee. Tried the crab meat chilli scramble which has a delicious Vietnamese inspired play of flavours - at its heart is the in-house chilli oil. Highly recommend!

Brunch with 2 kids. Kids enjoy the meal. For drink we had Vietnamese Iced Coffee, Peanut Butter Cream Iced Latte (with Oatmilk) and Hot Chocoocalte by Mork and for brunch we order Saigon Pan (it was good but there was few beef that is still raw & it missing pate), Vietnamese Shakshuka (it was spicy but my son really love it) and then Crabmeat Chilli Scramble (daughter enjoy it). Drink and foods was good. Service good.

If you’re looking for a spacious, family-friendly cafe in Melbourne, this spot is a total gem. There’s plenty of room for big families, and they’ve thoughtfully made space for prams—perfect if you’ve got little ones in tow. The menu has a Vietnamese twist on breakfast classics, which makes it such a refreshing change from the usual. The coffee? Absolutely amazing. The staff? Super friendly and welcoming. I especially loved the scrambled eggs served over a soft bun for the kids—such a clever idea compared to the hard bread most cafes serve with eggs. The kids devoured it! For me, the crab scramble was the highlight. It was packed with flavor, beautifully balanced with those Vietnamese notes. I only wish the portion was a little bigger because it was so delicious. Overall, this is a brilliant choice if you want an alternative breakfast experience in a lovely Melbourne location. Great food, great vibe, and great people. Well done to the team—highly recommend!

First time going to Amara Cafe, a vietnamese fusion cafe, and it surpassed my expectations. The food and drinks were just as good, if not better than Vietnam. Ordered the Saigon pan, xiu mai meatball sub, iced peanut butter coffee and iced vietnamese coconut coffee. The food and the peanut butter coffee were spot on, but felt the iced vietnamese coconut coffee could have been a bit stronger which the owner/manager gave me another shot of vietnamese coffee and it was 100% better (so ask for an extra shot if you like your vietnamese coffee strong!) Overall, this is my new favourite place if I'm craving good vietnamese inspired brunch and coffee!

Nicely presented and fluffy pancakes. Coffee was good and good latte art too - always a pleasant surprise to get something out of the ordinary! Easy parking. Interested to try the other roptions next time (including the fried chicken croffle).

Came across this coffee spot and tried the Coconut Cold Brew and the Saigon Pan. First of all, the Cold Brew - immaculate. Smooth, high-quality coffee with just the right hint of coconut. Not too sweet, not too bitter, perfectly balanced. As for the Pan, it honestly tasted just like the ones I had in Vietnam. All the flavors blended so well, the pâté, the beef, the sauce. What more could I ask for? The atmosphere is super cozy. Customer service was on point, always smiling and attentive.
